French Visa (10Feb07)

(Update: 10 Feb 07) This law has been on the books for more than 20 years. Recent "actions" likely accrue to the US now requiring visas of French crewmembers.

"Schengen" visa validity is contingent upon the duration of passport validity--maximum visa validity being five years. Unoffically, full implementation is said to be, "1 April 2007, and will apply to crewmembers as well" <as commercial crew> (this by French government sources not wishing to be named). IPS will continue to update this item as confirmed information is available.
